Insurance & Therapy in Massachusetts and Vermont
Massachusetts Clients
If you live in Massachusetts:
I am currently in-network with:
Aetna
UnitedHealthcare
If you have one of these plans, sessions are billed directly to your insurance according to your specific copay, deductible, and mental health benefits.
If you have a different insurance plan, you may be able to use your out-of-network benefits (see below).
Private pay is also available for those who prefer it.
Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $175
If you live in Vermont:
I offer private pay therapy. I am not in-network with insurance plans in Vermont.
Many Vermont clients are able to use out-of-network benefits for sessions, depending on their plan (see below).
Out-of-network benefits: A flexible option
You may still be able to use your insurance for our sessions, even if I’m not technically in your network.
You may have what’s known as “out-of-network benefits”, which means that insurance will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. This allows you to choose a therapist who feels like the right fit.
There may be a deductible you have to pay towards first, with many plans then covering around 70%-80% (but they all are different, check yours on the calculator below). The cost may be around the amount of many people’s copays, or even less. I also auto-submit superbills on your behalf, taking the guesswork out of it.
This option gives you more flexibility in choosing specialized, affirming care — while still making use of your insurance benefits.
